I have what I believe to be a first addition of Treasure Island. I brought the book from England with me in 1979. I remember the book being in my family way back in the 40's.
The book I am giving to my Grandaughter. Does any one know what value this book has? It is small for a novel, condition not to bad.

Of course it depends on the condition of the book, but I saw Treasure Island first appeared published in 1883, though some, oddly, claim the year 1888. I cannot quite estimate the worth of a first edition of such a famous Stevenson novel, but you could probably contact a few antique shops, libraries, or bookstores in your area and get a good estimation.
