I just started reading A Tale of Two Cities and I already have questions. For example, I can not figure out what the Woodsman and the Farmer signify. Can anyone help me with this?

hey, yea we are reading that and finished in class. the Woodsman is considered "fate" which means that the woodsmen makes the guilltine (maybe spelled that wrong) and everyone dies from that. The farmer is considered "death" . Hope that helps.
first thing when i studied a tale of two cities he was called woodswayer
i think carton was using him to know informations about the prison so that he do what he had done to save darney's life. second i was studying the short version so they didn't mention any thing about the farmer and you are welcome <email:[email protected]>
bye.
