    My Lady of the Kingdom

    My Lady of the Kingdom
    ~

    To be at the mercy of one is truly a risque affair;
    That is, to be controlled by another person, place or thing
    Is to be made a slave of that very thing.

    Now you would think I would be much unsettled to say
    I hold that dubious distinction,
    Of being enslaved to something that I have no course to settle;
    But you would think wrong.

    For I have in my quintessence the very nature of her fairness,
    An inscription she left when she departed to the far away kingdom;
    Having said it was a requirement of her stature.

    But surely she is one worth waiting for,
    She is a mystery in the briny deep.
    Jostling wild with my imagination,
    Much as a storm holds captive a maiden voyage at sea.

    Who had never felt the waves crash upon the heart
    As does mine pound for hers in the ambrosial night,
    When all tempts are let out to dreams
    And they being answered by her eyes to mine.

    ~

    I am always curious to know for whom you write many of your poems.

    It feels like you've stepped back into another time with some of your writings Shadow. I rather like its chivalrous oh ye fair maiden feel. I'm steeped in Shakespeare at the moment and up to my eyes in men speaking their love of women thus!

    Actually I stepped forward in time, the way it's supposed to be. Is there a woman out there who would not desire to be lavished with romantic love?

    Maybe in this day and age, yes. But I feel differently. I believe the expression of love is of full importance. And thus, I shall continue to expound my loving ways. Thanks

    I write them for that ideal lover. The kind you will never meet on earth. If I can touch someone who enjoys them then I am touched too.
    Thanks
