Emma and Pride and Prejudice
Hey guyss! i need help with this A-level essay!!!
'To elizabeth it appeared that her family made an arangement to expose themselves as much as they could during the evening. it could have been impossible for them to play their parts with more spirit of finer success.' Compare and contrast the ways in which the writers of your two texts make use of the relationships between indicidual family members. I rele need help  i duno wat to ryt..wud rele appreaciate it if sum1 cud tel me where to go with this essay! thankyooooou!!! X

Compare and contrast the ways in which the writers of your two texts make use of the relationships between indicidual family members." each of the P And P charters have simular characters to emma see if you can link and work out who matches with who and how austen makes them so compelling. Also for the A level comparision P And p and emma are on the comic perpective so see if you can start to comapare that as well. Here some example i can think of the top of my head so sorry if there a bit hazy. Emma was written on the bases Jane austen wanted to write " a heronie nobody but myself will much like." Emma is first intoduced as a women "hansom, rich and clever... and at 21 years of age had very little to vex or distress her." This shows that emma charter has been set for everybody to see. Austens satirising a women of emma class because nobody can live to 21 withour having any problems and also setting emma for a fall. The opening give emma a popus air about her which is matched in Pride and predjuice by Mr collins who enters the Bennits household fully intending to marry who he wants without the slightest idea he would be rejected and when he does he refuses to believe it. Both emma and collins charters show clearly their intend and both hold some comic relief to the book because austen has made them so easy to see there flaws. Mr Darcy and Mr Knightly are both reseverd men whos greatest flaws are there pride. etc hope that helps
