term paper
hello all! i'm doing a term paper, with the thesis statement:
At the heart of Romanticism lies the idea that poets are set apart from the everyday as reflected in the works of Percy Shelley. i was hoping to get some help here. for ideas on which poems reflect that, and stuff. thanks. |

Well, I've only read "Mont Blanc", which probably doesn't specifically fit this issue (though you could probably construct a sufficiently elaborate argument to connect that poem to anything, if you really wanted), but if you're looking for something to set your thesis against you might consider Wordsworth's Preface to Lyrical Ballads - I'm thinking of the sections in which he discusses the poet's task of exalting the mundane and using the language of "real men". Best I can do at the moment.

It is reliable. --Ursula K. Le Guin |
