Question aldous huxley

How come that whereever i look i can't find any reference to a short story by huxley entitled "The dwarfs". Apparently it was a part of his first novel crome yellow. It was then published in an anthology called "The mammoth book of thrillers ghosts and mysteries in 1936, of which i have a copy. Other authors include, Gk chesterton, Agatha christie,Walter de la mare, HG wells, and DH lawrence. I should imagine it's worth a pretty penny.

Hi scars, That is interesting. I read two of Huxley's books and have always been fascinated with the author. He was friends with DH Lawrence, who I have read extensively. I never read "Chrome Yellow" - have you? If so, is it a good book? I would like to find this short story "The Dwarfs". I will have to hunt for it online. Did Huxley publish a book of short stories, do you know? I was not even aware that he wrote short stories, but I believe he is listed in the authors on this site. I will check and see what books or writings of his are available right here.

scars, starting in Chapter 13 of Huxley's Crome Yellow, which can be read here:

http://www.online-literature.com/ald...ome_yellow/13/

Henry Wimbush reads part of his opus, "History of Crome", which starts with the birth of the dwarf 'Hercules' Other parts are interspersed throughout the rest of the novel from that chapter on.

I'm not quite sure if that story is included in his collected short stories, but I work at Barnes and Noble and I just recently ordered his collected short stories.
If you're interested in ordering it, the ISBN is :0929587812

If you have any other questions regarding Huxley or want to talk to a die hard fan, feel free to IM me on AIM ; screename = ilikepengu1ns

I found this interview with huxley I though you may enjoy for a little background on the man and for a better sense of who he is and how he presented himself.

Excellent, thanks!

I've also put it into a new thread as it's likely to get missed here.

Great interview and thoughts.
