Dryden the Great

Good evening!
I'd like to know, what you think about Dryden and his works. I think, that it's the great figure in English? that is comparable with Milton. But in Russian philology they say, that Dryden was talanted, but not great writer, although contemporary Russian poets and translators don't think so. And what do you think about it?

Dryden

Yes Dryden is a great satirist, but we can not compare him to John Milton. His work is very appreciable because his main target was to correct the English society and his criticism on violation of unities etc is appreciable.Indeed he is a great arm to English literature.
