Hilarity

Honestly, I came upon this work on a lark. A friend had read it, and asked me what I thought of Candide. I had to admit I'd never read it, and seeing as I had some extra time on my hands, went to search for a copy online. I was quite surprised by what I read, finding it not boring or tiresome at all. I alternatively laughed and then pondered. While the parody did make it funny, I also liked the pointed philosophical comments made throughout the work. It was definitely a good read, and is something I will probably read again.<br>
