Very detailed and nicely put together, not for the young at heart because many adult situations. I liked it personally but not a page turner. A little over dramatic or weird at times, still a book you should read. The relationships were complexly intricated, and the allusions fit. Not bad.

overdramatic, thy name is lawrence. i like it though, because with all that over dramatization i think he flushes out his characters emotional makeup. if there's one word that i would pin on his writings that i have read it would be rage. there's so much rage in these characters. he even uses the word repeatedly in the rainbow and women in love.
along with the seething is a constant coat of frustration worn by the characters. this inner turmoil and battle of wills is what makes it enjoyable reading for me. but yeah, it can seem overly dramatic at times.
