    Salman Rushdie

    What are his better/best....

I've heard Midnights Children... anyone know anything about "Fury" or "Shame"

The Satanic Verses earned Slamin' Salman a fatwa. Fury looks interesting, but Ruhollah Khomeini hasn't published a review of that one.

I am a Rushdie aficionado but maybe I was one since the more he writes the less I like him.
Midnight's children remains my favourite Rushdie novel because it contains the peak of his writing style: post-modern historic novelist and powerful comic talent; but The Satanic Verses is Rushdie's masterpiece: better structure and more layered story and themes.
"He had but one eye, and the popular prejudice runs in favour of two."
