The Valley
I wandered a valley wide and long
Amongst the strewn branches and a path went wrong
Betwixt the bright burning lights and a darkness eerie
I found myself shattered, wanting and weary
The path was lost, in memory it remains
The protagonist fought against insanity and vain
His mind bogged at the calamity in hand
For if strife befell, in a path lost be his last stand
The nights veil lifted and brought with it day
His eyes peering through tempered light at the intended way
For I have wandered a valley wide and long
Amongst the strewn branches and a way went wrong
