Wink When summer is busy packing its footsteps

    When summer is busy packing
    its footsteps
and drifting away with the drowsy heat,
    I'm lying serenely
in the shade of a maple tree
    like a fallen leaf,
casting a glance at the azure sky
    and the carefree clouds.

    It seems only yesterday~
I once rode on those open top buses
    in the sky
across the Great Plains and many an ocean
to the end of the earth.
I've seen the world, and I'm tired
    of traveling.

All I want to do now is wait quietly here
    for the sunset glow
and say my last goodbye to the westering
    old pal!

I love working out the deepened meanings emotions and I always end up feeling great when i discover them.

Thanks, Skia, for your bloody love of my scribblings!
So, what deepened meanings and emotions do you get from this one?
    I'm really curious!
If you're willing to tell me, I'll be blessed!

This is one of your best, angli. I love the two opening lines - what a wonderful image. If this is one of your recent pieces then your craftsmanship is definitely improving.

Thanks, Hillwalker, for the kind feedback!

I'm still learning from you and other great poets on this litnet!

Yes, I scribbled this one and the others I have posted here recently, for I don't think it's a good idea to translate others' work!
Though my scribblings are not good enough, yet they are really mine!

Thanks, Delta, for the most poetic and romantic idea!

The honor and pleasure are really mine
if you come joining me in the shade of a maple tree!
Let's enjoy the romance and beauty that autumn brings,
and forget about lonely blue sky!
