The Blue Lady and My Departure from One Reality to Another

The Blue Lady and My Departure from One Reality to Another

River running, cool breeze, fresh air, dense alpine forest
I stood marveling at the blue glow surrounding her
Who is she? She is a magnet’s south, I its north
A waking dream I find myself in
I got here through no normal means
I came here like a seed is carried by the wind
    There were footsteps I took
There were simple thoughts I thought
The simple thoughts were the stepping stones
After I knew it I was there and she was staring at me
She held a glass vile full of blue
What is in it? If I only knew

I had come for it with the intent of living a more fulfilling life

Reality was no longer purely the material world
What a simple notion, nothing but what is seen

I was told the potion brings a new reality for the consumer
Before I drank it the lady of blue told me:
This potion will bring you fulfillment if you accept what it has to offer
But to decline such a blessing will not be forgiven

The taste was better than words can describe
After the last of it was down my throat everything went black
The blue appeared first like a sun rise orange might in the morning
Next I saw myself sleeping in a room in a house that I did not know
After seeing myself open my eyes I became the man in the bed
I went through the house; my beautiful wife was nowhere to be seen
There were no remnants of my past life, reality had been changed
I found out that I am now a composer of trance electronic music
I used to be a high school geometry teacher
The strange thing is I now have memories of two lives

    I’m missing my wife, however
I check Facebook, she is there
    No picture though
Suddenly I see her with tumors all over her naked body
She is misshapen to the extreme
    Why am I seeing this?

I go days and I can’t stand being without my wife

I go back to the blue lady in the forest
She is there waiting for me with her blueness permeating the space around her
I ask if I can go back
She says only a no one can go back
It hits me like a shock, I have to kill myself in this world to make it back to the old world

    I contemplate the suicide
I eat hemlock to return to the one I love
Slowly I die after I take my last breath

I feel a wind blowing into the front of my body as if I’m skydiving

I wake up at seven in the morning
Beside me is the one I love still sleeping
I wake her and say I love you
She says I love you too
    We kiss

A day passes and I’m still feeling the joy of being reunited with my love

I come home from work at the high school
I find my wife cold on the kitchen floor

    Where did my wife go?
