Sticky Polls ???

What is it with all these polls? On all other forums I contribute to I've never seen anything like it. Elsewhere they're used sparingly, when at all.

And what confers on so many of them the "sticky" status? "On all other forums I contribute to...." etc, as above.

I confess to not having the time or inclination to wade through the twelve pages constituting this particular forum to find out what the devil it's all about. But I hope it's about something.

Hi Mike,

This part of the Forum, which is the Book Club, the members nominate and choose the books they want to read; hence the ongoing polls.

Also, for each book read, there is a rating system that requires polls.

So, it is all because we are overly democratic and all!
