    Everyone loves Adrian flint

    Everyone loves Adrian flint
Even the school girls prop up their skirts
Standing on the corner of the yard
Planning to watch him work in the shop
Maybe a sweet, maybe a drink, either one they don’t care!

    Everyone loves Adrian flint
The middle-aged women smile from behind NewHome
    They watch him with curiosity
    Such a young child
    With such mild curiosity

    Everyone loves Adrian flint
The poets flock around his bookcase with glee
“Here is one who understands me!”
    The books are very dusty
But no one seems to care

    Everyone loves Adrian flint
    The gangsters and mafia
    Say ‘alright mate’
They scowl and glare at all others in view
But not at this man whom they adore

    Everyone loves Adrian flint
This I have been told is true
Even though we have never met
And no one knows a thing about him
    Everyone loves Adrian flint

    But for what reason?
''It isn't enough for your heart to break because everybody's heart is broken now.''
    - Allen Ginsberg

"The whole dream of democracy is to raise the proletarian to the level of stupidity attained by the bourgeois."
    - Gustave Flaubert

Hmmm, I'm not quite sure what you were going for here but I read it as a piece about the fascination of reputation and celebrity which seems to override genuine "reason" and taste. I'm not sure I love the language or form, but I think the concept is very interesting.

I agree with the previous comment in the fact that this poem lacks specificity, and although poetry written vaguely, can be effective, the force of the poem must be directed into some form of message. This poem needs some linguistic strength and lacks creativity Also, you do not establish a rhythm at all throughout the poem and it becomes monotonous and repetitive.
