    silky soft yet furry
    in a bargain box you lie
    waiting for my hand to stroke you
    'You are the one I will buy!'

    Spencer won't growl
    when I come near
    I squeedle him so tight
    He's everything I hoped for

    Doggy loyalty feels just right

    I love your word "squeedle." I've been a sucker for poems, movies, songs about dogs since childhood. They're the most incredible beings. Good poem.
