the aeneid is not a materpiece it is merely an unfinished piece of literature . Virgil was not original in his writing as we can consistently see throuhout his work that he follows the homeric formula of the illiad and odyssey. The main difference is that Virgil portrays his hero with hore humane characteristics , but this is simply in tandem with the thoughts of the roman people at the time.it was what was honourable.<br>
