looking for a publisher

hello people i am an active poet and am in the middle of producing a compilation of my works.....i am in ned of information on how to aquire a publisher and all that interesting stuff....i have been writing for years and have samples available online if interested...please reply with any usefull info you may have....thanks

Usually you'll need to send your manuscripts to publishers. It can take very long and many manuscripts to get accepted...

You'll, for poetry, most likely need to publish somewhere before a publisher will consider you, as poetry is a very limited market - so you probably, if you haven't yet, are going to want to send things to periodicals - beyond that, for starting poets, you're probably going to want to submit things locally, as that is probably the place where you are most likely to get published.
