    Vogon Poetry Generator

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/hitchhiker...ettergen.shtml

Here's what was generated when I tried it:

    See, see the drunk sky
Marvel at its big mauve depths.
    Tell me, natalie do you
Wonder why the skunk ignores you?
    Why its foobly stare
    makes you feel ****.
I can tell you, it is
Worried by your druffmophobioseismic facial growth
    That looks like
    A blueberry.
    What's more, it knows
    Your crump potting shed
    Smells of tennis balls.
Everything under the big drunk sky
Asks why, why do you even bother?
    You only charm cheeses.--

Weird, thanks, AP. Mine makes no sense:

    See, see the caring sky
Marvel at its big lime depths.
    Tell me, Katie do you
Wonder why the armadillo ignores you?
    Why its foobly stare
    makes you feel drowsy.
I can tell you, it is
Worried by your ain't facial growth
    That looks like
    A milk.
    What's more, it knows
    Your insane potting shed
    Smells of moss.
Everything under the big caring sky
Asks why, why do you even bother?
    You only charm lavender.

    And here is mine:

    See, see the loved sky
Marvel at its big peanut depths.
    Tell me, Fay do you
Wonder why the lizard ignores you?
    Why its foobly stare
    makes you feel sleepy.
I can tell you, it is
Worried by your creamesque facial growth
    That looks like
    A cheese.
    What's more, it knows
    Your clonk potting shed
    Smells of pea.
Everything under the big loved sky
Asks why, why do you even bother?
    You only charm fishs.

Mono> It is pretty good for a computer generated poem... Sounds much better than anything I could put together!

I must say its a little disappointing that this generator of Vogon poetry is not a little more random. Ah well.

    See, see the Kind sky
Marvel at its big Brown depths.
    Tell me, Kenny do you
Wonder why the shark ignores you?
    Why its foobly stare
    makes you feel Sleepy.
I can tell you, it is
Worried by your Bifitotalismus facial growth
    That looks like
    A yoghurt.
    What's more, it knows
    Your snork potting shed
    Smells of Plant.
Everything under the big Kind sky
Asks why, why do you even bother?
    You only charm Roses.
Through the deep wood, the slanting sunlight
Casts motley patterns on the jade-green mosses.
No glimpse of man in this lonely mountain,
Yet faint voices drift on the air.

There are online, and downloadable, text randomizers that can do some strange things. I took what came out of the Vogon poerty generator and randomized it. The result isn't good, but it is slightly more interesting than the Vogon result. I thought that I copied in the Vogon poem, but this is completely different.

concrete sack envelops expectantly, tribal life nags undesirably, tribal rider crashes immortally, throbbing degeneration sullies abruptly, upright agitation entombs dazzlingly, uniform body sighs suggestively, dingy dope mars blankly, plastic chivalry crashes abruptly, stout laundromat shrieks sleeplessly, deliberate language looks awfully, dark summer looks irritably, vibrant corduroy sucks thinly, deliberate rider envelops blankly, baleful dream stoops sleeplessly, traveled entry sighs immortally, perforated vortex shrieks awfully, tribal life sullies hypocritically, undisciplined street falls angrily, deliberate life vexes terribly, ignominious creationism whispers triumphantly,

    This randomized is at: http://www.geocities.com/sherry_a_nelson/poem.html
There are other text randomizers on this page.

    That looks like
    A mold.
    What's more, it knows

Thanks for the link, PeterL, very interesting.
    My randomized, "cut-up" poem:

undisciplined dope defers grimly, dark feces concocts uncomfortably, concrete dream languishes suggestively, undisciplined enticement overflows undesirably, upright language nourishes blankly, undisciplined entry stoops terribly, vibrant light sucks balmily, stout street capitulates grimly, dingy creationism defers abruptly, baleful dope usurps uncomfortably, gray life nags uncomfortably, narcissistic sack smotes immortally, aggressive condescension entombs irritably, narcissistic enticement burns dryly, perforated enticement nags finally, agnostic party burns perfunctorily, perforated laundromat mars suggestively, plastic entry boils drolly, stout vortex envelops expectantly, plastic enticement vexes uncomfortably,
