help with finnegans' wake connection

I just dont understand how someone with a English major doesn't consider FW a work of literature. Of course I can understand that Velouria can like or dislike FW and I respect that. But I expect a little bit more from someone with an English major than just dismissing a book saying that it is not literature, I expect to be told why.

With that said I would like to say hi to everyone in here.

I'm afraid to my mind FW is one of the most (un?)intentionally unreadable, obscurantist and - well- rubbish- novels written in English. I know I am not alone. Ulysses is a primer, in comparison. And it, too is awful. Pretentious, moi? No, Joycey boy, I'm sorry.
