When I was in elementary, I remember when my cousin drives the car and he always said "I'm going to overtik now" (he was teaching me how to drive). I thought that the right word for overtake is overtik, so I grew up thinking that instead of overtake, I say overtik.

Up until about 3rd grade, I always thought Alaska was an island because it was always in a little box next to Hawaii.

I used to believe that Sqeeze Box by the Who really was about a Mom and Pop accordian playing duo, with Mom on the accordian of course.

I used to believe that new days didn't start at midnight but that they only started when I woke up.

Also, my brothers had made me believe that when you entered high school, you had no right to take notes about the homework you had to do. You had to remember your homework by heart, you had to remember each exercise you had to do, and if you forgot something and didn't do your homework, then the teachers would be mean to you. So, I thought I'd better train my memory soon!

One other thing my brothers made me believe when I was very little: I was out in the garden, and suddenly a fly hit my eye, which made me startle. Then, my brothers told me that the fly had certainly gone behind my eye, entering my brains. So, I ran away screaming 'ahhhhhh, there is a fly in my brains!!!!!!'. I truly believed it.
