    Heather

    You from a mongerel pack
    roused by sullen descent

    marking your purpose
in the billow of cloudy days

    What makes you pant
    so keenly

as if you wooed my heart
and I wore a merry face

    Is your vilest spite
    to be my murkiest den?

I can't pretend to understand it. But I'm guessing you are not happy and a man has done you wrong. It does read really well and the added reference to the man as a dog works too. Do I need to understand it? To fully appreciate it yes I probably do.
