Anyway it would make a nice CHAIN of conversation and gives an idea of how well we all respond to each other and interact in a comprehensive manner.
Deviations from the topic is also ALLOWED so long it is within the boundaries of the converation.

anyway I start the conversation by asking:


How easy or difficult is it to live with someone you have met say for a couple of weeks?

I personally think it is one of the most difficult thing I have ever had to in all my life experiences.
I come from a fairly tight traditional background that does/did not allow for boyfriend/girlfriend situation. It is not encouraged really and I really did not really bother either. Let's say I was too busy enjoying being young and single.

My first proper relationship I ended up marrying the person I was with.
It did not last very long, was boring and very difficult since the both of us were of different natures, and so I wanted out as soon as I could and I was free to do what I wanted again.

So looking back and judging by my first disastrous marriage that relationships are really not a walk in the park.

Most of the time, relationships really aren't a walk in the park. At least not the long lasting ones, but that's not always true. I have a friend who is so in love with her boyfriend I think the world would fall apart if they weren't together. Oddly enough, he is actually a really good guy too. Lucky them.

I will say though I've always found the non-traditional relationships to be the most rewarding for myself at least (given if they fail I can pride myself on taking a step I may not have before. My last girlfriend was wonderful, beyond wonderful. I can only remember being cared for to that extent one other time when I was sixteen. The only reason we aren't together still is because I wasn't ready for a relationship and I didn't want to end up hurting her.

That being said I met her for the first time BY living with her for a couple weeks. I took the train to sacramento and then the bus to chico and then a car to corning to meet up with her because, why not? I spent a couple weeks living with her and wherever we ended up. Truth be told I'm still thankful having met her and having that experience.

I'm not much for the traditional anything, though. And it's not something I haven't done before throughout my life. I think when it comes to meeting people and forming any sort of relationship, there are no guarantees, regardless of how the meeting transpired. Likewise I feel the same for the living situation of the people in the relationship.

I have no steady opinion on marriage. From a moral perspective I absolutely hate it. But, I can't help but be drawn to the commitment--and the intensity it requires--involved. Something about having a feeling so powerful that you are willing to put it on legal paper is brilliant.
