The Weirding
Yesterday I lost
ten minutes
Nine:fiftynine
to be exact
They tell me
flatlined
No explanation
given
But was woken
just in time
Though no credit
not by them
But the sound
of car alarms
Every last one
in the city
All erupting at
same time
I went to see
for myself
The cause of the
commotion
Was met only with
darkening sky
Revealing no
answers
Birds dropped to
the ground
As the noise
went on
Trees danced in the
howling wind
And minty musty
odour carried
On the streets
in the park
They stood there
still as stone
Like extras in an
old movie
Atmosphere thick
and heavy
Ion storm inversion
imploding

Thanks Bar22do
It was just a hasty 'I haven't posted a poem in a whole day!' effort.
Reading it back now though, I think I may be able to do something with it in the future
