    synchronicities

I have these very often, seemingly random occurences that nevertheless carry a meaning. I wonder if they are real or if there is a flaw in my brain. At first I thought of them as signs of God, like traces of His footsteps, if you will. But then I thought of them soberly and I have found that many of the synchronicities I have had may have come by the devil. I mean, I didn't only have good synchronicities, I also had bad ones, and seemingly neutral ones.

As a small example, some years ago I read the blog of a girl that I found attractive and sweet. She wrote something about going outside, it was winter, and she went down a street. She thought of God and then suddenly a small piece of ice fell on her head from a roof. No damage done or anything. She just felt that God had given her a sign of love.

The next day after I read this I go outside, and walk a street, and think of God, and I look up to the blue sky and suddenly I get hit by piece of ice too.

It's really surreal. If it's all random stuff, it's improbable. It's a riddle nut I just can't crack. And I've stopped trying to crack it. But I would like some reasoned thought about this stuff. What do you think of synchronicities?

My ego is too loud and won't let me tune in to such signs. It tells me I am being desperate. I can't quiet it down, so I just listen the babbling voice of the ego.

You guys interpreted being smacked in the head with a chunk of ice as a sign from God? If I were the religious type, I'd interpret it as a sign from a different god telling you that you're worshiping the wrong one.

I kept looking, forcing myself not to blink, and then the brightness began to dissolve. My pupils shrunk to pinholes and everything came into focus and for a moment I understood. The doctors didn't know if my eyes would ever heal."
