Hide

When there is nowhere left to run.

When your body collapses from the years of exhaustion
and
your heart implodes from the years of fear.

When you reach your hands out in all directions,
only to feel corners.

and the corners dont feel secure anymore, collapsing,
as you implode upon yourself, hiding.

Hide
from my love for you
Hide
from your love for me
Hide
from the desire of our existence,
back into the loneliness you've always known.

Hide as a shadow that is always behind its maker
never leading the direction it follows.

Hide as the moon, when bathed in darkness,
not seeking the sun's warmth
that could give it life.

I like this better than mine. Good job. I think adding some more concrete nouns would flesh it out more, but I like the tone a lot. Though I didn't like my poem, I'm happy it inspired you to write this because it is very enjoyable. Thanks for posting this.
