It came from just the other day
From a galaxy passing by the way
All blue and wet and glittery
Making everyone very jittery
We could see through it
And many did eschew it
But the fact remained
It couldn't be explained
What was its purpose?
Why on Earth did it surface?
Of all the stars up in the sky
Perhaps it came to die?
At night it glowed eerily
Certainly not cheerily
The scientists were at pains
To learn how it self-sustains
Spotted and greenishly
Even quite fiendishly
It just sat there like a blob
With a low level throb
Then suddenly one night
It emitted a blinding light
Up into the stratosphere
And a smell like fresh beer
What? asked the scientists
Was? asked the biologists
That? asked the professors
Wow! said the Royal Princesses
But no-one was the wiser
As the answers were lies, sir
And none asked further
Except the flat earther
And slowly the blue thing
With glittery spotty ring
Just faded well away
Into a far distant day
