    Cool First Line Story Game

Hi guys, Pendragon here. It's been a while, I know. I used play a lot of these games which some of you may remember. What I want to do here is simple. We're staring a story. Where's it going? I don't know, but let's keep it PG, ok? It's simple enough. I start with the first line from a famous book. The next person adds a line from another famous book. Or any published book for that matter. Do tell us where the quote comes from. When the subject shifts, make new paragraphs. It can be fun.

    Here goes: From MOBY DICK.

    Call me Ismael.

    Have fun!
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

    From 'The Chrysalids'

When I was quite small, I would sometimes dream of a city - which was strange because it began before I even knew what a city was.

So that its feel reminds me of slept-in sheets: comfortable and safe"

"All these things I say... I say them because I want you to know, I don't ever want to regret afterwards that I didn't say enough, I would rather say too much." ~ Samuel Selvon

Story so far: Call me Ismael. When I was quite small, I would sometimes dream of a city - which was strange because it began before I even knew what a city was. Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show.

"It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn't know what I was doing in New York." —Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
