    Spent Days

    Night scrawls the horizon
    sentient swells secede
    into the cavernous abyss
    reams of black stenciled
    over soft blue pastels
    as the scorching eyes
    of Zeus's brigand minister
    swoon through a paler diode
    fringing epaulets twinkle
    penitent beads satellite
    compressed drops of dew
    filter through the mist

    Night trawls my temple
    figments, but bartered hours
    overshadow rendered time
    dilated eyes pump, then drain
    the residual store
    yet my simmering conscience
    pimps the strained lines
    glittering specs bristle
    in the shadows
    burnt coffee grounds
    metabolized and spent
    replaced by a seething tonic
    to blot the pending score

This is a great poem, I love the way that it reads when read aloud.
    Good job!
Our task must be to free ourselves by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty
