    The Awkward Goodbye

    The air feels thick,
My chest heavy, I hold my breath.
My head swarms with the words
    confined, buzzing, stinging.
My body aches to tell you,
    every muscle twitching.
My lips part, let out a sigh, and clasp again
held prisoner by their own sealing.
My heart echos, but it's voice finds itself silent.

    You know it, dont you?

    In that moment.
A moment that will last forever,
    reserved only for lovers,
    A moment wished.
    A moment missed.
