Here’s a poem
Full of tragedy cancer
Heartache impotence
And indignity
The lead character
Has black spots inside
And he can’t get hard
No matter what he imagines
And smells stronger
as the day goes on,
But will sit beside you
Soaked in dew
And watch the sun rise
Over concrete monoliths
And cranes
And squeeze your hand,
It’s a poem of hope
Lets hope it ends soon,
He loves her metaphorically
Like a simile
Sibilant like a simile smiles
Silently shattered by the truth.
He personifies her
Until he loves her back
Like a person could
Or should or would,
That’s for you lovers
Of the rhyme
In the nick of time.
All roads lead to the sea
Eventually
This tsunami of pathos
Needs an afterbirth
Of bloody bathos
Plastic, Anticlimactic
Poem.
