This book shows a one-sided view of an event which Blacks will never be free from "slavery". The character Uncle Tom is deplicated as being passive without strategy. The book was, of course, the one-side thought of how Blacks should have reacted in those times. For once, why can't a Black man with the morale fiber and lessons of Tom combine and become a very strong adversary, with the cunning of how to "handle" those White's. It shows slavery cruelties and yet it only hit the surface of what Blacks experienced.
