Well, this is probably the first thing I've written in about ten years. I know its not there, but its how it came out.

There is a sadness deep in me
I tried so long to stay unseen
Here is festers, seething on the inside
    All around me smiling
    Laughing, living
    But deep inside me hiding
Is this sadness I can't conquer
    Every day spent living, smiling
Like this sadness is not real
Its eating away at who I am
At least the me I thought I was
    Was I ever truly happy
    Did I ever truly matter
    This sadness deep in me
    Is slowly crushing me
    The air to breath
    The will to move
    There is no movement here
    There is no rhythm
    There is no ryime
Just the sadness and the void

It's a striking, lean poem and certainly captures a feeling that we all have at some point. Love it. Plath-like

    Hi, Spally!
I am in agreement with Tony. We all have felt like this at some time, so your words hit home with me.
