    Riddled

    He was riddled.
    Riddled.
    When they opened him up
    He was riddled
    His widow in waiting
    Told her friends
    When they opened him up
    He was riddled
He is young in today's terms
    No age
    No age and riddled.
    Eye brows over grown
    Chin lax riddled
    Riddle me de
    Ta ra diddle
    Ta ta for now
    Riddled.
    His black bits
    We're his dead bits
    The bleeding bits in waiting.
He smiled as he gave her away
    Proud in puffed up chest
    Chin held high
    Inside
    Blackened like banana
    Hanging too long
    Flies multiplying
    Humming pulsating
    awaiting.
    Riddled.

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.

I'm a little shocked and surprised that no one has commented on this poem, JB. I love the repetition of the title word, and the repetition of the -ing ending in the last few lines. I also really like the lines 'no age/ no age and riddled'. That image of the blackened banana rotting on the tree, over-ripe, and riddled with flies, is incredible. Do you mean 'a banana', or 'bananas' in general?

I think I had a Jamaican slang in my head re Banana. Thanks for commenting Silas.
