    Mary Shelly vs. Frankenstein

Frankenstein draws parallels to Mary Shelly, such as a mother’s death from childbirth and not having any formal education. Do you think Mary saw herself in writing Frankenstein?

You are not comparing a monster learning to read from a random lost copy of Paradise lost and a girl born and raised by two of the most important intellectuals in england, are you?

As far as I remember, Frankenstein was formally educated. And his mother didn't die in childbirth.

I was guessing (maybe wrongly) he was talking about the creature, who had no mother (as someone who lost a mother at childbirth).

Are there other ways that you see Mary Shelley in Frankenstein?
