Taming of the shrew and 10 things I hate about you

    Hello,

I have to submit a research project for college under the unit 'Literary & Cinematic Narrative' next week. My research topic is The influence of the third wave of feminism on the character portrayal of 10 things I hate about you (compared to the play 'Taming ofthe shrew') Could anyone please help me with this? I want to know how you feel about this(rather than facts) since your responses will be included as observations made by the audience.

    Thank you.

A silly movie but the romance of the two leads makes me watch it again and again on You Tube. Always a sucker for the tough guy with the heart of romantic and the girl with a soft heart hidden well behind her shields. She CAN be hurt but only those she cares about. Otherwise she does a great job of being true to her own values and not losing sleep over what others think of her. Admitting her getting drunk at the party was really her only slip in character sone more in spite then really wanting to. Just my thoughts on it--enjoy your research.

I found this old link on exactly the same task. Maybe it´s the same teacher/ professor too.
    Could be of help:

I myself have read only the play. One manner of starting a comparison would be to consider the different periods when both works were produced.
