    Two shorter poems

Here are two poems composed from around mid-2015. They've been floating about on my harddrive for a while now and I thought that now might be a good chance to post them. Any critique and comments are more than welcome.

    RIP MR. REAPER
    (Written sometime in 2015)

Was written with the thought in mind that we at some point through proper medical research can habitually prolong our lives thanks to advancements in medicine to the point where death can be avoided.

    Here lies the Reaper
    Black-veiled psychopomp
Just a jangly bag of bones
Burried next to the common cold

    REGES MUNDORUM? – First contact
    (Written 05 – 03 – 2015)

    Sky, vast, fast and firm
    Buzzling little makind
    Look up in awe, squirm!
    Far beyond the cloudy scope
    Transcending the familiar blue
    Therein lies our biggest hope
Tho' if they be of minds
    ---------Cool and unkind
What leave we to past generations
    ---------------------------------behind
Best then to leave man's starbound shout
    --------------------------------------On mute
