Most of my love has remained unspoken.
Written by my fingertips
the expressions of my heart
ink promises traced down your cheek,
along the ridge of your chin, enveloped in the curve of your lips.
Each whispered beat of my heart,
alights upon silent wings
finding their way flocked upon your chest
gentle murmurs fluttering hopes and dreams.
My gaze carries the warmth of my thoughts,
It’s light absorbed in the dark pools of your eyes,
cooled within deep caverns into a temperate serenity.
Tears fall,
flecked chipped diamonds, everlasting proofs,
melding with the crook of your neck.
Embraced in unyielding boughs
rest easy, unwavering faith is protected
even as storms may pass.
My breath releases a part of my soul.
Shared life transferred through my kiss,
Exchanged, forms into a new wholeness.
In these ways, my love needs no words to be heard.
