    question

    Hello,

I am Dutch and I have entered this forum with a question. My English may not be perfect, so excuse me for that!

I remember in my teens I have read a book for my English literature class. It was a book about a simple gardener that was happy to work his garden. Eventually he stepped into the upper class society sharing his knowledge of gardening. While he simple spoke of gardening the humans around him believed that he talked about profound philosophical subjects.

I have totally forgotten the title and author, but lately the book has raised my interest again. I would love to buy and read it once again.

Anyone of you could help me with the title and author?

    Thank you!

    Anita

    Welcome to LitNet Anita

You might be thinking of Chauncey the Gardiner from the novel and movie "Being There" by Jerzy Kosinski, great story!
