Must language in theatre's plays be the daily language?

Like, using everydays expressions, localisms, etc...
What it's wrong with a more adorned or poetic language? art is not life, i find boring the limitation of using just daily words and expressions for dramaturges!

Keeping language simple has, at least, the merit of minimising malapropisms.
    Voices mysterious far and near,
Sound of the wind and sound of the sea,
Are calling and whispering in my ear,
    Whifflingpin! Why stayest thou here?

I think if people tell you you can't do something, then that's exactly what you should do!

Whatever everybody else is doing, do it different!

And for God sakes don't put me to sleep when I'm sitting in the audience!
