If one is interested in the wisdom traditions throughout the globe, one of the best ways to learn about them is to experience the music and art that is the fruit of such traditions. While there are an unlimited number of such spiritual songs, these are a few that have been especially beautiful and bright in my life.

Mantra of Avalokitesvara - I hadn't heard this in years, and last night it started playing through my head. . one of the most lovely, peaceful feelings.

I Am the Light of This World, Hot Tuna - it took me a little while to find this, the studio version! It's written by Gary Davis.


Kabir's song sung by Abida Parveen - music doesn't start for about a minute into it. . it's so fullsome.. so lovely to hear Sufism (such as Rumi, Hafiz, Kabir and other poets) put into music.


Dances of Universal Peace - with Samuel Lewis - in these dances men and women dance together as equals.
