    Unified by the Wilderness

When I find my love we're joined by the wild,
Lost in a dream escaping our real world.
An effortless state leaves us reconciled,
Our souls have combined, with love quietly furled.
Under green canopies joy is defined,
Her laugh sweet and wicked, bringing pleasure.
We're versions of ourselves, truly aligned,
My love is my best friend, a rare treasure.
Oceans of dreams get pushed back by life's tide,
Countered by infinity, moments to last.
The heart has no limit, despite life's ride,
When our eyes meet in dreams, love is still vast.
I often wish we could live out our dream,
True love is treasure, a powerful beam.

Enjoyed this poem. My favorite line was 'We're versions of ourselves, truly aligned'
Our task must be to free ourselves by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty

Vulnerability, truth, love. Just authentic emotion and experience are what is needed to make poetry. The technical can enhance poetry, but really its the authenticity of emotion that draws people to it. Those elements were all here. I felt it. I was to afraid at the time to say it, but this is poem is beautiful.
