Okay, so here is a riddle. I heard it on public radio so I take no credit for it. Let's see if you can figure it out.
You have two prescription medicines, histoxylocaine and novomine. You have to take one pill of each per day.
You have to be careful though because the pills of both medications look and taste exactly the same.
So you tap the little bottle of histoxylocaine and one of the pills rolls into your hand. Then you tap the little bottle of novomine, but by accident two pills roll into your hand, and you weren't paying attention and now you don't know which is which.
So you have three pills in your hand that look and taste exactly alike. You know that one of the pills is histoxylocaine and two of them are novomine.
So the question is: How can you be sure you get your daily dose of exactly one pill of histoxylocaine and one pill of novomine?
