I wrote this poem and didn't think it complete rubbish. Perhaps some of you would be able to review it and tell me what you think? Thank you, if so.
"
For the Earth to stop turning,
And the clock to stop ticking,
For hearts to pause,
For breaths to hitch,
For nerves to freeze,
For everything to /stop/.
And I'd somehow know to look up,
Probably from the sound of silence sisilencing,
And realize my time has come.
Maybe my blood has stopped flowing,
Or my appendages to break from work,
Or my lungs to arrest.
I'd see Death in whatever form they took.
I'd smile.
I'd write a note,
Even though I know it'll never be seen.
I'd embrace Death as a lover.
As a friend.
As a sibling.
A child.
A mother.
A father.
A stranger.
A criminal.
A vigilante.
A deity.
A peasant.
A kinf.
A queen.
A pedestrian.
A darkness.
A light.
White-matter,
Dark-matter,
And everything in between
And nothing.
And I'll walk with her.
He'll take my hand.
Ze will guide me to whatever is after life.
For Death is my damnation.
For Death is my salvation.
For, perhaps,
Life only starts
After you are dead.
