    Lightbulb Why and What: The Car

    Same principal as the screwdriver game and also based on recent events.

    Across the street from your home is a parked car. That's not unusual as the street is full of cars. But this car has the lights on. The lights have been on all week, all day and all night, and you don't know who or where the owner is. Nothing seems to have been done about it.

    So. Your challenge is stretch your imagination and tell me any of the following;
    Why does the car have its lights on and/or where is the owner?
    What do you decide to do about it?

    The boring answer is that someone forgot to turn off their lights and went on holiday or something.
    You leave it for the owner to deal with when they get back. Maybe they will remember to check their lights in future when they come back and find the battery dead.

    So. There's the boring and obvious answer. Can anyone else come up with something more creative and fun?

    The owner of the automobile, Ms. Stella Rose, went to the market one week ago to do her grocery shopping. It was late evening and where she had parked was not well lit; as she finished securing groceries in the trunk of her car, she was attacked from behind, knocked unconscious, tied and gagged, and thrown into the trunk. The carjacker robbed Stella of her money and valuables, drove the car until it ran out of gas... consumed by guilt and full of regret, he left the lights on, feeling certain that a good citizen would inquire to the whereabouts of the owner.
    Though nobody has yet ventured to get involved, a stray cat has become most curious at the strong odor coming from the trunk of an abandoned late model Impala, parked under a shade tree... with its lights on.

    Although the car with the lights is suspicious it is the car in front of it that you need to worry about. It is equipped with light detecting sensors that use light to charge a device. Ideally sunlight would do the job but it's winter and very cloudy. So the car lights are being used instead so as not to arouse too much suspicion.

    After receiving continuous light for a week the car in front has charged enough power to send a signal to the cloaked spaceships hovering around the earth with their lasers pointed at various key positions across the world, awaiting the final command.
    The car, which was actually an alien beacon in disguise, relays a single command.

    Fire.

    The lights are on, and nobody is home. Days go by, and the lights on the car begin to dim before the police arrive to investigate. Relatives have called and called the family who lives there and received no reply for days. When the police enter the home (it's daytime) they discover all the lights in every single room are also on. The stove has one burner that is red hot, and the cold water is running. Closet doors have been flung open, a plate of bacon and eggs is on the table and three lunch boxes, packed for lunch are on the counter, but there are no backpacks filled with children's textbooks and notebooks. Two phones, fully charged, are on the nightstand in the master bathroom.
