The Wolf of Larsen
I want to eat my desk.
I want to eat my desk.
Will it taste like the rings of Saturn? What if the rings of Saturn fly around me while I eat my McDonald's hamburger? Will all my thousands of phone eyeballs stare at me?
Isn't everything poetry? Shouldn't everyday conversation be poetry? Can't we have poetry conversations?
What if all of our conversations were Cubist? Or surrealistic? Or fauvist?
What if we could telephone new landscapes to each other? But we can.
The sunlight is talking to me, is it talking to you?
Unusual thoughts & conversations welcomed in this thread.
May we keep it pleasant?

I like cheese, but only on Thursdays while I'm sitting on a beach in the Maldives watching Neptune destroy the palm trees in his way. Bring me home so I can drive my car into the side of a coal plant and help save an entire country. Turn me away, but one day you will find yourself thinking like Crowhurst of the emptiness Neptune requires of the world. Don't fight what you cannot control because if you float with the current and run into you find that unconquerable is now yours.

Goodbye, find your own home
So, somebody uninvited moves into my house, so I take a chainsaw and I divide the house, and then I move my half of the house to a different country.
It's sort of like having a jail cell mate you never asked for, so should you turn him into adjectives & nouns flowing downstream a long loooooong way away from you?
A welcome mat is a welcome mat for most members of my species, but not for all, you dig? Go dig for your words and phrases and poems and gigantic new meanings of life on some other planet besides mine.
I take a beautiful sunny day and I cut it up into pieces – and those pieces – I throw into a poem that's not really a poem that's just a conversation with thousands of mirrors on thousands of planets surrounding me...

My wife and I biked to an "Art Fest" this morning. We did the ritual of passing the booths of artists, stopping now and then. We overheard a conversation where one buyer couldn't decide which painting she wanted and the artist asked her, "Which one speaks to you?" If any of them spoke to me, I would probably do my best to buy it unless what it had to say was not to my liking.

i don't want to live on this planet anymore. The grass has stopped growing and the eucalyptus trees have taken over. Slave raids have come to take my friends away from this little island universe. My ancestors have fallen on their noses into the dirt in shame of what has come of their former universe. Enlightenment does not come to the travelers automatically, but is earned through a game with god over the sea. Don't expect the inhabitants of Rapa Nui to walk into the water and drowned themselves.
