    Is "Hamlet" a coming-of-age story?

My teacher posed this question a few days ago, and I'd like to get some opinions. IS Hamlet a coming-of-age story? does more than one character "come of age"?
    Thanx!

It can probably be easily applied that way if you look at certain details and psychological aspects. But Shakespeare has so much rich activity and nuance in his work you could just as easily say it's about madness, or about the dangers of selfish action, or any number of other themes. That's the beauty of Shakespeare; it is many things to many people and therefore remains timeless.
