As God has bestowed human the power of wisdom as initial means to understand basics of worldly life. Similarly He has granted power to receive revelations and to see visions. When human wisdom reaches its limits, God helps His sincere and truthful servants with revelations and visions so that they get certainty and perfect knowledge. To help people attain certainty, God sends Prophets who teaches ways of certainty towards Him. Just to keep using a basic faculty and ignoring advanced faculty is not a good philosophy of life. Thousands of people of pure character have given testimony to have received revelations and visions. Holy Quran has taught a prayer which seeks bounties of God which were granted to previous people. This prayer is:
“Guide us in the right path ---- The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed (Thy) blessings, those who have not incurred (Thy) displeasure, and those, who have not gone astry.” [Holy Quran , chapter 1, verses 6,7]
These bounties included definite revelations. Holy Quran mentions that mothers of Prophets Moses and Jesus (on all of them be peace) received revelations from God, though they were not Prophets.
According to Ahmadiyya Promised Messiah (on whom be peace), door of getting revelation is still open to people of pure hearts, as true Islam is an alive religion. Revelation takes one from ‘to be’ to ‘is’ and follower get certainty that God is present. His all attributes are active, including talk with pious.
