Shakespeare is not a genius, he was a very talented writer who is popularised (dont know if i spelt that right) by modern films, but i really dont think they can compare to his actuall works and you cannot base your opinon on him and his work from one film that you decided to look inot a bit deeper.
Shakespeare was a genius and as you can cleary see in his writing, he still is a genius. Taming of the Shrew, this is a great story concerning love and romance and what people will do to obtain their wants in life. 10 Things I Hate About you was created using this story, I highly recommend for EVERYONE to go see it because it is easily one of the greatest movies ever made. I'm not a "Theater Marketeer", hahaha, but I can appreciate good writing when I read it, this is great writing. Polly, I don't know how you got into your field having the beliefs that you have, good luck in life.
