Peace be on you. Two-prong approach is the best strategy in spiritual struggle. First part is try to do all virtues with likeness and second is to abhor and avoid all sins related to God, self and society. It sound good on ears but need lots of attention. This attention can be achieved if we make certain benchmarks in the light of divine teaching, to check our current position and then take corrective measures. Following are some issues, which are reminded by Ahmadiyya Muslim Khalifah (may Allah be his Helper), so that believers can ponder at, and use as self checks and take necessary reformative measures.

Questions

3- Are we carefully practicing true Islamic morals and society feels peace due to that?
4- Are we reforming our way of life?.. [address is to Ahmadiyya Muslims: As the true teaching of Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) is reminded by his ardent devotee Ahmadiyya Promised Messiah Mahdi (a.s.) in this age]
5- Are giving precedence to our faith over worldly matters and remember that we shall be made accountable for our faith and deeds particularly in Hereafter?
6- Do we avoid unusurping rights of others?
7- Are we regularly offering five mandatory Prayers (Salaat)?
8- Do we keep remembering God and praying all the times?
9- Do we have righteous friends and avoid immoral ones?
10- Do we deal our parents respectfully?
11- Are spousesí paying each otherís rights and gentle to each other and each otherís relatives?
12-Are we good to our neighbours?
13-Do we forgive those who wrong with us. Are we free of rancour, malice and back biting?
14- Do we remember to fulfill the conditions of Pledge of allegiance [Conditions of Bai'at made with Promised Messiah Mahdi (a.s.), Pledge is essence of true teachings of Isalm]
15-Do we remember God and His Prophet (p.b.u.h.) in our meetings?

Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) told every seeker the different virtue as big virtue according to their conditions. He told one person that serving parents is great deed, another was told to wake up for very early morning Prayer, called Tahajjud. One was told to Jihad was great virtue. It should be noted that when opponents saw Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) was being successful they repeatedly tried to annihilate faithful by weapons. After long time of patience, they were allowed to answer them back with force. But in these modern times, no one uses force against Islam as religions. They are using various types of media. Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) had prophesied such situation. He prophesied that in such era [current era i.e. latter days] his ardent devotee would stop religious wars. In the light of this guidance, therefore, the Ahmadiyya Promised Messiah Mahdi (a.s.) has done so till no one again raise sword against faith. These are times of spiritual duels. Much is going on, on the name of freedom. Internet, for example, is a great way for learning but it is also being used for immoral films, illicit relations, trafficking of young women by making fake promises of marriage in rich lands etc. Thus Ahmadiyya Muslim Khalifah (a.t.) has asked his Community to wage a jihad [Jihad means struggle] to restore morals taught in the Holy Quran. They should check their families.

If one finds difficulty to adopt a certain virtue, it is big virtue for him and same for sins. Thus it is error to think some virtues and sins are big and others are small. Making such differentiation puts one into spiritual slumber.

Environment affects and people copy. It starts from childhood. Parents practice teaching of Holy Quran in house too so that children know how to practice. Children should be trained since early age. It should be noted what is their external company, when they go out.
